Welcome to the "Dental-Excellence" of Danube Private University (DPU). We are pleased about your interest in the Diploma's Degree Programme Dentistry leading to the degree Dr. med. dent. at our university, which has commenced operations in Krems, Wachau at the campus of the stately-owned Danube University Krems (DUK). Danube Private University (DPU) offers two courses in english for students from around the world per study year.

Graduates of the scientific, medical-holistic oriented Diploma course of Dentistry will be educated to become competent and ready-for-the job doctors (Dr. med. dent.) of dentistry, who adjust their professional acting according to scientific and ethical maxims.

During the studies at Danube Private University (DPU) the student may acquire

 the license to practice dentistry

holding the degree Dr. med. dent.

in 12 semesters

fulfilling the EU-Directive 2005/06 as well as

the Austrian University Act 2002.

As a privately financed institution Danube Private University (DPU) wants to take on this challenge based on the Anglo-American model and wants to enter the ranking competition with its degree programmes in Diploma Course Dentistry leading to a Dr. med. dent., postgraduate courses in Dentistry, one Bachelor/Master course in Medicine Journalism and PR (BA/MA) in order to reach a top position amongst European Universities.

Since DPU students and their payment of tuition fees contribute, for a decisive part, to the teaching and research activities and the adm inistration of the university, they take centre stage when it comes to achieving performances here. Our goal is to enable them to obtain a „state of the art" scientific and practical education in one of the speciality areas and to experience their study programme as an "adventure".
